Please help..
The other day I found a 1994 quarter and don't know what to make of it. The weight is abnormally low, its as thin as a dime, but the same size as a quarter, and also makes a high-pitched sound when it drops.

Correct me if I am wrong.. but, from my own research I found this coin may be missing both clad layers, on the wrong planchet (struck on a dime) and off-metal?

I would really appreciate all of the feedback.

Unfortunately it is PSD. Acid dipped or an electrolysis experiment would be my guess.

Whatever caused it, it certainly didn't happen during the striking
of the coin so it is just damage. Worth face value.

But to the CCF

To CCF! I agree with the others about it being a damaged coin. It's only worth face value.
