First of all I would like to say hello and good morning to all, as I am new to this Ommunity Forum. Correct me if I am doing anything wrong. Thank you. To jump right in, I have a 1955 D Wheat penny where the obverse and reverse rims both taper in, and the obverse cuts through the top of the word trust. Also there is something between the 9 and 5. Adding to this I have a 1981 Lincoln Cent wherethe word Liberty on the obverse is splelled with what looks to be a "7". Any suggestions as to whats going on with them? Thank you.

First - welcome.
2nd-you might get better responses - if you post a separately for each coin/question.
3rd I am pretty sure the the "7" Is a
deviously placed hit (damage) to that coin.

Both those coins show damage that happened after they left the mint.
Unless it happens during the striking of the coin, it is PMD.
