FWIW USSID, this coin was bought of GC and these are their images. GC is known for overlighting their coins, giving natural looking worn coins an unnatural bright appearance. This coin is clearly original and uncleaned in hand, but I know the pictures are deceiving. If you look at my SLQ Guess The Grade, you'll notice the same look on that coin.

Hmmm, very interesting. You mean this one?

I see what you mean. The pictures all look washed out!

Next question: Why are you using GC's terrible pictures? Like you say; very deceiving. The coin is obviously a straight grade. I'd be very curious to know/see what the coin looks like after you take a picture of it.

Short answer is because I'm lazy, but I'm also pretty sure I wont be able to take better pictures. I can take some pictures of it tomorrow though

That is actually shocking and stunning to me. What a difference! I had no idea. GC should hire you to take their pictures for them. So now I ask myself; why in heavens name do they post pictures of their coins that way? I would think they're losing money with those pictures.

Looks cleaned to due to what appears to be brush marks on the surface.

Those kind of marks are not always an indication of cleaning.

Hairlines don't always mean a coin is cleaned. I agree with IGE about these not being from cleaning.
