Two questions: Why doesn't the Lincoln Memorial cent category cover all the way to 2008 (in other words, why the separate 1996-2008 category). And why is 1996 in BOTH categories?

That's the question I think you need to raise with Dr.James Wiles on CONECA's site. I am not sure why!

The mint switched from a multiple-squeeze hubbing process to a single-squeeze hubbing process during 1996, so how doubled dies were made, and therefore their appearance, changed. Some 1996 dies are made with multiple-squeeze and some are made with single-squeeze.
