Found this at work last week,

I know there are 3 different stages to this coin, but I can't seem to figure out which one it is. What do you guys think? DD? Grease filled?

Well it definitely appears to be an RPM under all that wear and tear.
And the 1940-S is known for many DDO's and DDR's and even a fairly common DDO / DDR dual variety, however, I'm afraid this coin has been in too many pockets for me to even tell for sure but I do see a few areas of interest...

It was Struck Through Grease very slightly, but not nearly enough to carry a premium over face value though. There is no Doubled Die. Just circulation wear and flattening.
Errers and Varietys.
