From the picture it appears genuine, I would like to see what the edge looks like though.

I don't see a casting seam or any file marks, the size and weight is also correct. I still say it's good.

Edge looks good, but the faces set off alarm bells for me. Its a little 'mushy' - I'm not sure of that wear pattern. I wouldn't want to make a hard claim either way, but it doesn't quite sit right with me.

It is just an impression, but it doesn't look right to me either. The style, the way in which it is « worn » (not in an homogeneous way across the surface), even this strange patina. I wouldn't bid for it in an auction...

It does IMO it looks like it might have had some environmental damage which might have caused roughness to the surface and than the surface was smooth to enhance the appeal of the coin. The only way you will know for sure is to send it off to David Sear who will certify it genuine or not.
