I found this yesterday in a mixed circulated bankroll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. This is my second example. Although, it's a little bit more beat up than my first example. It has a pushed in rim, from a hit ( PSD) that it took in circulation, staining, Environmental Damage, and normal circulation wear. As always, this is a very controversial variety. Some people say it's a Die Gouge, while John A. Wexler says it's a Doubled Die Obverse. I will give this an 100% pure Acetone bath at some point, to see if it will help.
Thank you Tanman for confirming it, and also, thank you very much Jim! I guess that they're still out there in the wild somehow. Keep your eyes out for this one. I highly doubted that I would find another one anytime soon, but I was surely wrong!
