The design is that of a very early cash coin, the "ban liang" or "half tael" coins of the early Han period (circa 200-100 BC), but alas, yours is a copy. - The patina is simply wrong for a 2000 year old copper coin. It should be nice and green. - Genuine Ban Liang don't have anything on the other side - they were cast in uniface moulds, not twin moulds like more recent cash coins. - They shouldn't have a thick rim like that either. Ban Liang are rimless.
