Looking through a 1000 coin lot of Wheat cents and found 3 different 1936 Lincolns (2 Denvers, 1 Philly) with what looks like the same damage, what are the odds? - probably from a coin wrapper machine?

I'm surprised you kept all three of those coins and then found that they are very close to being identical to each other. Nice finds.

When I find anything that deviates from the norm I'll put in a different pile then go back and re-search those just to make sure it's worth saving or not.
Rest in Peace

That would be my guess.
They are pretty consistent damage.

Good eye. What are the odds out of 1000 coins?

That is what I thought your response would be.

It makes me wonder what kind of machines these coins were being sent through back in the day. I have a few from the early 1940s that show the same type of damage, but I haven't found any later dates that show the same damage; similar, yes, but not close enough.

That is very odd. I may have to go back and check my 1930's bag and see if I find anything similar.
Rest in Peace

John , if you find 3 more 1936 Wheaties with the exact same problemed "6" then we could have a possible new unique mint error .

These are different mint marks. Would it be possible to have a date error from different mints? I'm not that familiar with the specifics.
