Hello. Just FYI, I tried for side by sides and they were too big to fit in My post. It looks very much like 005, and I think it has enough thickness to be one. I appreciate anyone's opinion! Thank you and happy hunting!

Have you tried matching the die markers?

From doubleddie.com:

Quote:
Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the E in WE. Reverse: A die chip can be found on the top right of the shield north of the S in PLURIBUS.

No matching Die markers. Could it be an earlier die stage or no?

It is possible that it might be a new stage, but maybe it's not listed on doubleddie.com? Have you tried matching it to other known listed Doubled Dies on doubleddie.com?

Could it be WDDO-006?

I don't think it's WDDO-006, since your coin doesn't display that nice strong extra thickness on "LIBERTY". To make matters worse, there's absolutely no die markers for WDDO-006. It says "None significant" for obverse and reverse die markers on doubleddie.com.

I am not sure which one you have. I would just save it for later, until you get enough Doubled Dies to send off to John A. Wexler.

Okay. Thanks. I hope I can even send this stuff off. I have to read the guidelines and mailing procedures.
