The inaugural meeting for the new Hamilton Coin Society will be Jan 7th at St Michael's Anglican Church at Upper Ottawa St and Fennel in Hamilton.

The old Hamilton Club dissolved years ago, so this is a chance for all area collectors to get together. I know of 3 from this site who will be there, including me. Give it a chance

Nice to see another coin club getting started/restarted. You'll have to let us know how it goes.

Hey Okie, just curious if the first meeting is more of a meet 'n' greet? Or is there plans for a speaker or auction? I'm about an hour north of Hamilton but with the wife's permission I will try to make it.

I have no idea. The two organizers are well-known Canadian numismatists ... Rob McPherson, Alan Roy and Len Tracalo. I've read articles in the CNJ from the 1st 2 so who knows what the inaugural meeting has in store. I'm in Burlington (as is Gigit).
