Hello, I randomly came across a fifty dollar note that looks like David Unaipon has a big scar across his lips.

I've looked at it under zoom and magnifying glass and can see the paint has been smudged while printing (I assume)
Can anyone please give me some info/advice on if you think it is a print error, and where could I take it on the gold coast to be valvued if worth anything?

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on the subject, I was directed here by a collector who lives too far to view themselves. Thanks in advance.

To the CCF.

It wouldn't be smudged, the ink is completely missing.
Without having the note in hand to look at, it is possible that
something has possibly scraped the ink of the polymer.
It is very easy to remove.

Thanks, JimmyD! That makes sense, the blotch of white ink slightly to the right of the 'scar' on his top lip made me think it may have happened while the ink is wet while printing.
I also noticed the vertical lines near his eye don't match up properly, however I am completely clueless as to if that is how it's meant to be printed. I only have the newer fiftys at the moment. Thanks for your input and sorry in advance for my ignorance/complete lack of knowledge (and incorrect lingo) if what I've just said is irrelevant lol. I appreciate your reply! Thanks!

Glad to have helped.
I'm not saying that I am right, it is the only
thing I could think off right now. If it was a paper
note, then it would not be possible to scratch off
the ink without doing damage.
Perhaps someone else can add their idea.
