TB just started a post like this so I thought I would ride the shirt tails.
I was the only bidder on this one when it sold so I'm guessing no one else thought it was worth the 4.95 that I paid. Would you pay that price for this example.
Sorry, I only saved the seller's obverse pic.

Maybe the B-E-R . A 1934-P cent isn't worth much unless it is at least MS-64 . I would not have paid $5 for that coin .

How about this one guys and gals:
1934 1DO-002 .

http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=mds

VV- DDO-004 . FS# 101

Think I'm seeing legit markers at WE and TRUST from Copper coins. (Only looking because John posted. Would have definitely missed that one.)

Would not have paid $5 for the OP's coin, which appears AU-58.

I would have bought it. Has a chance of being FS-101 like Pete said. Can't really see the doubling well but there's definitely some dot where the doubled 3 would be and some of the die markers do match, mainly the scratch on the vest.

Only $5, so if it's not FS-101 you didn't lose much and you'd learn more about what to look for on a true FS-101.

Many thanks to all for chiming in ! This one did end up being fs-101. The doubling on this die state is very dependent on the lighting angle to be seen. Here are my pics of it.

I see MD on the OP's photo, at Liberty. Would that make it worth the extra 2 bucks ?

Panther , this coin being ddo-004 / FS-101 already makes it worth about 100 times what I paid for it.

Hey Stoneman! Just really wanted to thank you for posting those pics. That one is obviously high on my hit list and getting another chance to go over your before and after images is really helpful. If you have the coin handy could you also take a look at that mark to the right of the Y in LIBERTY and see if that is a die marker or something else. I have found that the die mark on the vest may not be exclusive to that die and have been trying to pattern exactly what die markers I might hope to see in an ebay image. I didn't know about the die crack from the 9 to the bust until you posted here, but that is pretty helpful as well.

Superb images. Congratulations.
I had a feeling Stoneman wouldn't throw his hard earned bucks away and that was the only logical choice for a "hidden" variety.
Very jealous. Such a nice score. Still looking for one of those.
