I am Not sure what the three lines are on the reverse of this nickel? You can plainly see it in hand and in some pictures. Other pictures you cannot see them, what is going on here? It looks like possible die clashing? What would you grade this Buffalo? I am sorry for the bad pictures but I will try and get better ones soon.

Is there any sense of them being higher or lower than the normal surface?

looks like 2 different coins. obverse obviously in better condition. obverse looks like its in the XF40 range, reverse looks VG10/F12. the lines look like the are carved in with an implement so probably a details coin based on these photos

Are the lines incuse, raised, or level with the coin's surface?

These photos are making it a little hard to grade but the horn says F-15.

They are a slight bit raised but worn on the high spots.
