swamperbob Pillar of the Community United States 5362 Posts	Posted 12/27/2018 7:20 pm silverdollar22 You are correct in your assessment of the coin as a fake, but you should be more precise and refer to the item as a Numismatic Forgery. It is part of a series of Crown sized replicas which are often sold as if they were genuine. In the US they should be clearly marked COPY or they should be destroyed. They are worth melt in my opinion, about 2 cents however, I do pay a couple dollars over melt for new varieties. Report this Post to the Staff
