More than likely plated.
I once bought a set of four cents for my granddaughter
with each one plated a different colour including pink.

Thanks guys ! Will see if I can get the weight from my friend to be sure but, given the apparent size of the flan, I would also tend to think that it's just a common [plated] cent...
