Pretty Heavy damage on the reverse of the 53
they both need a bath in acetone and vedicare

i don't see heavy damage in the reverse of the 53. just a scratch near the center.

1853: vf35 details scratched
1856: xf40 but some corrosion mainly near the bow of the wreath - likely to straight grade

1st coin has ED and scratched XF details.b1853 VF-30 I do believe the gunk will come off the reverse of the 1853 with a toothpick and some verdicare.

both look around vf-35 to me. scratch on reverse of 1853 is unfortunate
