There are very rare occasions during which a coin could be "warped" at the Mint. I don't believe this is one of them. It happened later. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 01/10/2019 1:15 pm Due to the distance from the base of the bust to the rim, and the width of the rim I believe it was a MAD strike, but since it was struck it has received a great deal or wear and damage.
