Please give me your Honest opinion on this coin. I picked it up yesterday at a local coin shop. I think it is VF but you are the experts and I am here to learn.

Agree. The field in front of Victoria's portrait almost looks defaced in this pic.

Looks like either dark patination with a botched attempt to remove it sometime in past, or old tape residue? You'd probably be able to tell with coin in hand.

(ANd you may want to correct the date in title)
