Hey guys...sorry I'm completely new to coins and have inherited a pretty big collection that after some research doesn't appear to be worth anything. I did come into something that I haven't been able to find anything on. Does anyone know what a Half Pound Prestige Proof Set is worth. It's 6 half pound coins(from the cert of auth they are 8 troy ounces). Has a 1996 penny, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar. Also has a 1997 Second inauguration of Bill Clinton Coin. Anyone have an idea if this is worth anything? The cert says it's #211 out of 5000 made.

I haven't heard of it before, but in general, most of these sets are worth only a small premium over silver.
Sounds like you have $720+ of silver there.

Never heard of that one. Try posting a few photos of them.

Thanks. I can't find another one online anywhere. It's in a big wooden box and all coins are in hard plastic cases.

Have to agree with the assessment of just a slight premium over what the daily spot price for silver is. If the second coin is silver the same would app;y. My father bougth items from the British mint located in Denver co. worth less than the postage they paid for it. The only collectors for these TV, newspaper, magazine items is the shady company "collecting" the money for selling them :ilke Bradford plates, Franklin mint items there are a few people tham my what some items. But few collectors of their wide ranging subject matters!

I just realized, my copy & paste isn't working.

Do a search, I've seen these on the bay.

Silverhawk answered a similar ? a while ago, but it

was about the 1/2 lb. Kennedy for 450.
