Anything over a 62, I'm lousy with w/Ikes. That is a beaut, though.

I was also hoping for confirmation that this is the rare Ike peg leg R coin. It's my understanding this San Francisco mint peg leg holds a premium. Anything you can share on this topic?

Nice looking Ike. We would need larger images to asses grade and whether or not it is a peg leg.

I'm new to this series, but it looks to be in the MS65-66 range to me.

Better. I will say MS-65. It does not appear to be a peg leg.

Boy, I can't see any issues. Why not a 66 here?

I see a few nicks here and there. These could be real dings, they could be image artifacts. If the latter then 66 is a possibility.

The more research I do on this coin the more interesting it gets . The stamp of the earth on the reverse is that of the type 2 series which appears to be a rare version of this coin and the most sought after. Do you think this is one that should be sent in for PCGS grading. It appears there's 3 versions and the coin I found is the type 2. Anyone have additional info on this topic? Thank you

Unable to grade from these photos. The angled lighting hides what ever is on the surface fields.

All San Francisco minted coins from 1972 should have this version of the Earth. The 1972 Variety 2 was made with the S reverse.

So this coin is a ms 66. Its also a peg leg. All 1972-s ikes are peg legs. Lastly the earth is normal for this coin. now if this was a 71 with all the criteria I mentioned you would really have something. But make no mistake, This is a nice ms example
