Not rare. It's difficult to tell from your photos but it does look very worn. Worth three or four pounds in that condition.

Not worth much over melt in that condition, but still well worth keeping as it's sterling (.925 fine) silver.

Although the pictures are small they indicate a grade way below UK fine.
Maybe a marginal premium over melt.
