I was thinking about having this one graded. I wanted to make sure it hadn't been cleaned before I did. There is a lighter area in front of the face. That was the area I was concerned about. The green spot beside the U is stuck on the surface. Is there a safe way to remove that? Thanks for your help!

I dont know if that green is verdigris or just some gunk. I would try verdi-care if it is verdigris and then an acetone soak. If its just gunk, acetone alone should remove it.

Acetone should always be first and then Verdi-Care otherwise the acetone would dissolve the Verdi-Care .

Thanks to both of you for the info. I'll try and see if it works.
