Neither corrosion nor an error, just damage, perhaps from a garbage disposal or a parking lot

Doesn't look like corrosion at all. Coin just got battered up some.

Just a heavily damaged coin, which is in no way an error coin. It can't happen at the U.S. Mint. It's impossible.
