Does anyone have any info on Spitting Eagles? Could this be one? Also what is there value? This is a 1982 D. Thanks

It's an '82, so it was minted in conjunction with the release of the Japanese horror movie "Eagle/Dragon." Or was it for the Adam Sandler movie "Eagle Snot?"

No, it looks like something the coin acquired after minting.

I also see whitish markings just a bit above both wings that look like something from a lightly erased chalkboard, maybe something from "Good Will Hunting" or "A Beautiful Mind" or "Big Bang Theory."

My estimate is that it's worth a quarter. Otherwise, we all could get rich by paying only with paper money and collecting all the change we get. Or maybe that's what everyone else here does, and I'm just catching on now?

I just looked this up, and there is a "spitting eagle" quarter, but it's from a die crack on the 1983 P quarter:

Personal opinion, whether it is or isn't a "cutesy" name for a die crack or die clash doesn't add value. Still worth just a quarter. Why would a die crack in one spot be worthless but in another spot with a cutesy name be valuable? It's still just a die crack.
