I've got several radar bills that are found in circulation, with average wear. It's not the grade I'm looking to determine but rather if the seriel numbers are anything special aside from being radars. Thanks in advance.
The bills are
$50 FMY2494942
$50 AME4881884
$20 BIV0329120
$20 FIR5162615
$20 FVM3880883
$20 FWC8621268
$10 FTJ4342434
$5 HBK9373739

I don't want to be tying up funds that could be spent in a better way if these are never going to be worth anything more than face value. Dispite having a small collection, I'm not really a radar collector

If they have more than "average wear", they might lose their premium.

What I'm hoping to find out is if any of the prefixes are rare or hard to find. I don't have easy access to the bills, otherwise I'd take pictures. I'll try to post some first chance I get. I had the seriel numbers written down so thought it'd be a good place to start. Thanks for the replies.

Prefixes of each radar you listed are full 10 M runs (no change-overs) so nothing special. Problem is most people collect only AU - UNC when it comes to modern day radars. There's so many collected these days that premiums are hard to come by. (More difficult special numbers: rotators, low # & million # or even 2 digit radars would likely be kept).

Just older series 3/4 digit radars may be worth keeping in circulated condition (but as another poster replied- keep them- they cost you nothing & they're nice #s).

Unless they are UNC, it is spending money. Even if they are changeover bills, they are worth FV.

Put 'em up on ebay; I think you'll get more than face value.
