A very kind man at a coin show today gave me this coin free of charge. I saw that it may Be worth around $20 if graded right. If I'm correct, it's a silver coin. (Sorry I'm completely inexperienced in Canadian coinage) Can anyone give me a grade and price range? Thank you! -CH27 Collector of U.S. Coins, Varieties, and Colonial Coinage

63 At that grade it's a bullion value coin. 1965 are by far the most common uncirculated dollars found in dealer melt bins. The upside is that it contains .6 oz. of silver, about $9.50US. A nice uncirculated gift for sure.

Great! Thanks for the info. As a silver stacker I'm glad to have this with me.

Just going on the picture of the obverse, it's a slam dunk ms64.
That said, if there's a few marks that show up when the coin is tilted at a different angle, then the grade would be slightly lower.

After enlarging the reverse, I'm at 63 tops.

Reverse means almost ZERO at ICCS.
It's not right, but it's the way they grade.
