1874 would generally be the year the chapter was founded not the the year of the token.

Here is one issued by the Franklin Chapter in Farmington Maine (Number 44 RAM). This one is much clearer that the date (1879) is the chapter founding date as opposed to when this token was made.

This jewel is over 100 years old and is redolent of the British Raj. It is the badge of a Past Grand Standard Bearer for the District Grand Lodge of Bengal and would have been worn on an ornate embroidered collar with his apron and cuffs. The left flag bears the arms of the United Grand Lodge of England. The right hand flag is the personal standard of Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1850-1942), as used by him from 1907-17 The Duke of Connaught was Grand Master of the Masons from 1907-1939 London hallmark H.T. Lamb Ltd 1908 It's a very large fob with two crossed flags over a blue glass centre with BENGAL in gilded letters. 50 x 40 x 6 mm. 43 gr, overall

Vintage R.A.O.B. * silver gilt Primo jewel with red moire silk ribbon and buffalo horn suspension. Hard to date but the style of the star is reminiscent of late Victorian/Edwardian decorations. That coupled with the king's crown would indicate somewhere after 1902, possibly for the Coronation of George V. . Overall length 90 mm. Jewel 35 x 28 mm. *Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes
