OK people this is not my coin, its my from a good friend of mine, to me it looks fake, but my friend says and he insists its real, Should I do him a favor and send it to Heritage, here's what I did, I sent a letter to Heritage with photos of the coin, the same photos that you are looking at, and this is what I got back from them.

Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize for the delay in responding. These coins are very rare and very few come on the market, making it difficult to determine the value. If your coin is authentic it would be worth perhaps $50,000 U.S. For a more complete estimation the coin would need to be examined in person. Should you desire a more complete estimation and authentication or if you would be interested in selling the coin through Heritage Auction Galleries, you would need to allow us to see the actual coin. Let me know and I can help you with that. Thank you,

You will need to send the coin to us. Once I receive the coin I will e-mail you. This is such a rare coin that there may be a chance if it no authentic. If it is not authentic it will be returned to you. If it is determined to be authentic we will then prepare and send you a consignment agreement.. For safety, you should pack the coin in a box that is inside another box. You should address the package as follows:

U.S.A.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Now I really don't know what to do, should I send it or get some real experts eye look at the coin from any of you here.

It looks rather good grade and perfect, flan being very round and no irregularities in design. At least it appears there is a bit of rust (or verdigris) on the ship side as this is typical. Most of these coins were dug up from the Island itself (from http://www.colonialcoinunion.com/ce...category/30)

Picture from heritage Auction website

Also, accoring to the Heritage Auction website, the large portholes Sixpence is rare - this would indicate an even likelier fake to me as it is usually the rarest coins which are faked the most.

Another thing that strikes me is the hog itself - does it really look feral enough?

Finally, found one from GoldbergCoins.net (Shilling)

(I hope I to god I don't turn out to be completely wrong now I've said all this! - your friend will be very rich though in any case..)

wow so are you saying that this could "possibly" be REAL AND NOT FAKE?
if in any case you think that I should give it a try, could you pleas help out as I would have to send this to London instead of The United States. I will be traveling to London by next week, any place in mind that you know of, Like Heritage. One other thing to add to all this is, I did something that I should not have dun and that is I lightly cleaned it >>? well I can say I used a little force with a tooth brush and water, I could not tell what is was before I did that. there was to much rust on obverse and revers.

No I'm sorry I was proving it was fake. Oops!

But yeah, if this was going to be the very rare type of coin it would've been a very bad thing indeed to do to it. However I don't think it is genuine, look at the pigs snout - doesn't look right, and as I said the coins shape is too regular anyway.
