I assumed it was going to be packaged in a lens like the proof innovation dollar but after re-reading the mints description maybe not.

However, no concern on my end since proof sets get opened and coins put in Dansco albums.

HA! There goes the Dansco page. Wondering when they'd throw a curve-ball for the Lincoln set.

Yes. I do actually. Because starting in 2009 I have been putting my cents in blank Dansco pages. These are in a binder along with blank nickel (since 2004) and dime (since 2005) pages.

They threw a big curve in 2009.

I wanted to tee that one up nicely for you.

Could this be part of the "U.S. Mint to issue an intentional rarity into circulation in 2019"?

No, but we can if everyone promises to spend that cent when they get it.

(Never!)

I saw this in a Facebook ad:

Mark your calendars now! This year's 10-coin Proof Set includes a separately packaged limited edition Lincoln Penny bearing the "W" mint mark of the West Point Mint. This penny is part of a three-coin series of pennies released only in 2019. It's our gift to you!

Looks like this penny is just one of three.

I wonder what the other 2 premium pennies will be? Any news on that story?

I'll hazard a guess that they could be uncirculated S and W cents to be included in the 2019 Mint Set
