I'm looking to sell a lot of 40-50 IHCs. I bought these in the 70's when I was young and inexperienced.

Many of these appear cleaned. And almost all are very unattractive. They are common dates too. However, the detail is AU and MS.

Would a dealer want to mess with these?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, pictures would be quite helpful. I know you said common dates, but if there are any better dates they often have some numismatic value, even cleaned.

In addition, you can learn about Indian Head cent errors and varieties and check your coins for any of those, some of which bring modest premiums in any condition.

Generally speaking, dealers won't want much to do with cleaned common date IHC lots, however, if you list them on ebay or a similar auction site, there is usually at least some demand for "cull" Indians -- I see rolls of common-date IHC's "With Issues" sell for $5 to $30 or more all day long depending on the average condition and the "issues."

I see issue rolls of commons sell for $20-$60 all day long. List em on a 7 day auction and see what happens.

Just list them on ebay. Don't run down their condition, just list their dates.

If you are new to ebay, I wouldn't just throw them on auction. Maybe list them at fixed price for a couple weeks or a month. Then switch to auction after you have a number of watchers (assuming they didn't sell for your asking price), and specify a starting bid that you are comfortable with.
