Found Something Strange - Never Seen This Before Need Help Understanding

Okay, found something weird...Looks Mexican to me, but here is the strange part, it is a cap or cover of some sort.
Outside Diameter is 23.56mm
Inside Diameter is 22.80mm
Inner Wall depth is 1.11mm
Weight is 1.48g

As you can see in the pictures, this is something that was covering something else, I placed a 2Euro coin inside to illustrate the depth.

Has anyone seen this before? If yes please help me understand what the heck this is.

It looks like a spooned coin. Often done in preperation of making a " Magicians coin"

Grape, This seems much more flimsy than the video. Really thin.....

If it's done wrong they can come out like this. Look up spooned coin in the ccf search bar

Almost certainly a Magicians coin. My bet would be either Alexander (Knows all, sees all) or a French magician Le Rocroy. Both were complulsive turban devotees.
