I am extremely new at looking for coin errors, so my apologies if this question seems somewhat basic. I came across this 2013 Fort McHenry Quarter and wondered if it is an error or something else, as I do see some differences from other Fort McHenry 2013 coins.

The inner rim seems to be thinker and and more prominent on certain areas of the coin, it also runs behind the date at the bottom slightly and the letters at the top are not fully formed due to the rim running through the bottom of them. The 'T' at the top has a slight error and there also seems to be a slight imprint of a circle on the bottom left within the image.

I have attached various images of the coin.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

To CCF! That's just Coin Wrapping Machine Damage caused by Post Strike Damage ( PSD). It's not an error. There's no premium, since it's just damaged.

Looks like crimping machine damage. It goes above the date since the date is incuse on this series. Welcome to the forum, and there are no stupid questions! It's always good to learn something. Crimping machines will leave a circular scratch like that in a coin while crimping a roll of coins. The date is incuse which means it goes into the field. Good luck hunting!
