if we were to guess a "bottom" just for fun, where would we put it?

Geologically speaking, diamonds are rocks, relatively plentiful compared to fine colored beryl and corundum.

HABIB,
And far more prevalent than DeBeers marketing would suggest.
In fact, it's been postulated that some asteroids are composed of diamond-like forms of carbon.
I only find diamonds fascinating for a few notable physical properties. I think colored minerals like these are more attractive:

Silver-And-Gold-Today
(like corundum and beryls, these were the "diamonds" a few centuries ago)

Btw, care to guess the "bottom" for spot gold--or are we already there?

End year gold will be about $600 , silver should be about $10 and maintain around that. Changing a little , buy ups and downs. Oil will be about $70 to $80 , sweet crude. The dollar will finaly continue it's rise. Maybe then I will invest in both.(8-16) Well oil should slide to under $100 tomorrow , as long as Ike doesn't cause trouble. Silver is getting to be scary. The big sellers and big banks sold to much on paper , never really having the silver to sell. Selling Joe's silver to John , etc. All hell will break , when and if the truth on that happens to come out and be 100% true. Gold needs lose about $150 more. Have 3 months for that to happen. Funny thing , at ebay , their still selling and buying like silver is at $15 + an oz.

YOu know what the messed up part about that is? Oil is around 100 dollars a barrel right? well when oil was at 145 dollars gas was somewhere in the 4 dollar rang right. well now its back around 100 and its still in the high 3 dollar range. gas is still high as if it was 145 a barrel! Sounds like the stations are like the bullion dealers and dont want to come off the high prices either. The worst part is how gas already jumped like 20 cent in my town today b/c of Ike and he hasnt even done anything.. Something is fishy

Another interesting thing is when Bears was in trouble , Morgan sure jumped in to buy them up fast. Who knows how much silver they had on paper. The feds sure let that deal go through fast. Won't suprise me if the feds , sellers and big banks are all involved in getting silver down so the sellers and banks can get out of hot water , from selling stuff they didn't even have. Alot of people bought silver , getting just a pc of paper saying they own it. There doing it on ebay now too. lol Oh well , we will see what the future holds for silver.
