I found these old coins while going through my dads things. Are they worth anything or can I let my kids play with them?

For the majority of those I would say yes. The 1884 in the top row looks almost collectable, although I don't know how bad the damage to the rim is, or what the obverse looks like. The 1875 looks poor, but if there is an H at the base of the date, it might still be saleable. The 1877 - what you hope for is a narrow date, but yours does not seem to be that.
I hope that helps.

I presume that there are no rare dates or varieties in this lot.
Are they worth anything?
Yes - copper value only.

The kids will get their fingers dirty from the copper oxides an sulfides on the coins, if they handle them. If that is the case, clean their fingers.

Some people wear copper bracelets for a variety of health reasons. I think that they can make your wrists look dirty.

Copper is poisonous, everybody knows that.
But don't worry.
The grandparents of the current generation of kids seem to have survived - somehow !

I have been drinking water all of my life, from the domestic copper piping in all the houses I have lived in.
And I am a grandparent!

Give them to the kids - it might make them want to become coin collectors!

The two 1908 appear to be REV C with the single plume ,does the one in the date point to a tooth ?
This is a scarcer REV ( if they are ) and one F164a would be worth looking for as would be over £150 in that condition.
The chances are they wont be but worth a look.

The F164a has the REV C and then OBV.... I of IND to gap ,I of IMP to tooth and the colons after BRITT to tooth.

Put the better ones aside and let them play with the rest, by all means!

Thanks for your help everyone. I think I will put them in a folder and give them to the kids. Amongst my dads old things are some other coins that have been stored better which may have some interesting/better condition coins. I will be back.
