No possible way that can be an error. It is only an error if it was done during the striking of the coin. That just looks like a well worn Lincoln with some damage.
Likely it's just acid corroded. The acid selectively etches grain boundaries/impurities which take the form of straight parallel grooves due to rolling of the penny stock
Definitely dipped in acid. Definitely not an error coin. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD). You might want to do some research on real error coins, so you'll know what to look for. http://www.error-ref.com
