1857 Seated Quarter "smoking Liberty" Die Gouge (X2!)

Blueberry Pirate New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 03/01/2019 03:20 am For your consideration, two 1857 "Smoking Liberty" quarters I managed to pick up unattributed nearly within the same week The name comes from what appears to be a cigarette in Liberty's right hand resting on the shield, caused by a gouge in the die Unfortunately each is scratched, but who can complain about a variety as fantastically named as this?
