West Point struck cents without mint marks from 1975 to 1986. Also, San Francisco struck them without mint marks from 1978 to 1983. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 03/13/2019 4:20 pm When you consider all the dies were made in Philadelphia it isn't surprising they can't be told apart. Whenever they needed more dies they would just be sent any of the no mintmark dies in stock. So there would be no difference between the dies they were using and the dies Philly was using.
