I found a 2001 D LMC that has what looks like a bubble under the copper, right where a doubled eyelid would be. I was about to discard it when I found another one, then another. I found 13 in total. What do you think? Is it a doubled eyelid? I didn't see any listed anywhere (Copper Coins, etc) for a 2001 D LMC.

The first two pix are from one coin and the third is from another one.

Sorry about the quality. The lens on my camera broke and will no longer focus. I had to take these with my cell phone with a clip on macro lens through a loupe.

I believe that's just a plating bubble, not a DDO. I don't think there are any true doubled eyelid DDOs after the 1960s (The 1992 doubled eyelid is debatable).

Do gas bubbles tend to show up the exact same size and shape, in the exact same location? Because these are all mirror images.

I didn't realize your pics were of different coins. I don't have a 2001-D on hand to see if that mark is part of the design or not, but that could be a possibility. Else, it's a die gouge.

I highly doubt this is a doubled die, it doesn't match the shape of the eyelid and there are no doubled eyelids from the single-squeeze era.
