Keep in mind, this is a VERY old coin that lived a long life in circulation. It's going to get washed in pockets, dropped into puddles and tossed around. A few, odd anomalies are normal and acceptable until they cross a hard to define line into the cleaned zone. Personally, my tolerance is quite high for that threshold when I see a very original looking coin like that. The black gunk in the devices and dirt tells a story. Lincoln Cent Lover!
