Any chance you can check the diameter of your coin, at least as compared to a normal cent?
I did a little research and found that in 1941 the Philly Mint struck Half Cent coins for Liberia. The planchets were composed of 75% copper / 25% nickel, had a diameter of 18mm, and weighed 2.5g. Based on your images, I think there is a small but non-zero chance you have an off metal error.
A more likely and mundane explanation is that the weight is a combination of a rolled thin planchet and heavy circulation wear. In that era, weight variations of +/-10% are not uncommon.
