Ok So I need some help in determining if my eyes are going bad or if I'm actually on to something. In the middle of the date, I see a faint outline of other numbers including a 6 between the 19 and the 69. Also my girlfriend says there are faint letters along the edge of the quarter as well. Also is it worth anything? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

to the CCF!

It looks like it may be some coincidental staining or damage. Some better pictures could help us be sure. Either way I'm thinking it's not an error. Best of luck!

Is the stuff between the 9 and the 6 raised or indented? I'm guessing it's just a bit of damage, and it's indented into the coin. When you have coins randomly bumping into each other over many years, you get all kinds of markings.

On the other hand, if it's raised, then it's beyond my pay grade.
