1997 "Wide AM" Error Penny - Coin Community Forum

PaulF01 Valued Member United States 51 Posts	Posted 03/15/2019 10:25 am Found this 1997 penny this morning on the sidewalk. Looks like a " Wide AM" to me. If I'm not mistaken.. all pennies made after 1992 were all suppose to be made Close AM's. Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21606 Posts	Posted 03/15/2019 5:14 pm They don't have to be touching to be a CAM, just not centered. Yours is clearly a Close AM. Just look at the A in States, it isn't centered as a WAM should be. Report this Post to the Staff
