Is This An Authentic Western Han Wang Mang Cash Coin?

It appears to be a Western Han Wang Mang cash, which is 23 millimeters in diameter and 3.53 grams. While the reverse is blank, the obverse should read "Huo-Ch'uan." Do you think that it is authentic. This dealer tends to just throw all cash coins in there since he knows nothing about them. sel_69l - yes, the rim does seem a little too regular and well-formed. But, then again, it raises the question of why one would go to such lengths to fake, patinate, and encrust in dirt for a coin worth $1? Report this Post to the Staff
