I sent my 1-ounce bar off today. I'll miss having that rare metal slab in my safe but I will console myself with the nice new coin(s) I can buy!

My original plan was to sell at $8,000 but when it got up to $5,000 I choked! Still, I made a little money, but boy do I wish I had held onto it. then again, it took years for this climb to happen and I could easily gave up waiting and sold it years ago when it was stuck around $1,000 for years and years. Boy, I would really been teed off if that had happened.

oh well, you take your chances. I knew it was dangerous stuff but I figured making some money was better than making none. now I got that pesky capital gains tax thing to worry about.

the way I see it, if we were all stuck of the "would ofs, should ofs, could ofs, might ofs and such, a lot of us would be so miserable. I am a big believer in the "butterfly effect"... even the smallest thing can have a huge affect later.

I am a vet and I feel sorry for all the young people who never got to live their lives while in the service. I do not regret it myself, being everything from E-1 to E-3 navy enlisted to 0-3 as an Army Captain. But I do feel for the young people who are good inside and yet life often hands them a bowl of sh*t.

but that's life, that's what all the people say... (forgot the rest).

got a 5 oz. gold isle of man angel coin with my name on it, just gotta buy it. I collect the angels so anyways... its either that or head to the casino 4 miles from me and blow it all. boy I would really be bummed. my dad was a compulsive gambler and basically died pennyless despite 2 pensions.

well, like Huston said in "The Treasure of Sierra Madre".... "never met a miner who died rich" or something like that. Personally, I have won and lost fortunes, mostly lost. Life has a way of making things even. well, enough of the philosophy... mike
