panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18687 Posts	Posted 03/19/2019 09:43 am Quote: How do I determine cleaning on a coin surface? 1. your lighting in these photos is pretty bad, however, the reverse field is flat and dull at 11 o'clock where the dark spots are you can see scratches across them. this area was wiped with something to attempt to remove them 2. on the obverse the right and left fields both show signs of long scratch marks indicating that someone wiped these attempting to remove something off the surfaces 3. the original toning on the surfaces is broken on both sides. toning would normally be quite even not down to the surface metal in areas and not others Report this Post to the Staff
