So, I was on a well-known internet auction site the other day and discovered dealer that was offering a roll of Liberty Head Nickels. I'd like to get some opinions on if this might be a good thing. Now, I'm not expecting to find an uncirculated beauty hiding inside. I realize that things like that are going to be pulled out and sold separately. But, I'd hate to go through the effort only to end up with a roll of coins that have been worn smooth and are barely gradeable. On the other had it might be a good way to build up my Liberty Head Nickels and maybe end up with some surplus dates. Let me know your thoughts.

to CCF. I just looked here and the lowest value was $3 each. Depending on what the roll cost? http://www.numismedia.com/rarecoinp...proof=&plus=

On the other hand, the bay offers them, as low as $20.

w/shipping. These are recent sales.

My advice is "never buy a roll, unless you are willing to pay that price for a full roll of the least valuable variety it may contain"

Given the date and the prices, I realize I probably won't find a whole lot. But, I'd be happy with a couple higher quality samples.
Rest in Peace

Does the listing say anything about condition and grades of these Nickels . If not rest assured they are inferior coins and I would stay away .
