Hello all. I have some Saudi coins with me. One is a One Qersh from 1925/1926. It has the Arabic number fifteen punched on it which appears to have been done much later. I have posted two such coins, the one on the left being a regular coin. Does anyone know the story behind the punch mark? Thank you.

Hi Muks,
'They were countermarked in a move to break money changers' monopoly on small coins in AH1365 (1946AD). These countermarks vary in size and are found with the Arabic numbers raised in a circle' ... according to https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces115658.html
