I guess the only reason anyone has had any border crossing trouble is due to the overall value of the coins. I think I will NEVER have that problem, as I rarely have more than $100 cash to spend on a coin/coins.

As far as my Garmin problem; yes, I probably didn't load the thing correctly when I initially installed the maps.
The last time it 'spoke' to me that day was when it told me to make a U-turn in the middle of the tunnel. It must have thought I was driving over the edge of the United States!

And make sure Trump isn't going to close the border

Actually it is the Canadians that are cracking down on the border crossings. THEY are getting too many illegals.

I don't know how it is now, but at one time most Canadian dealers stopped going to US shows for awhile. The Canadian officials were making them pay tax on the income they would receive on their entire inventory when they crossed going south (With a refund on any inventory that went south that they still had when they came back) It was a huge paperwork nightmare and meant having to pay a huge tax bill just to leave the county for a little while. (Which of course also consumed their working capital for the show.)

I still think that's true; which is why I've decided to start crossing the tunnel to Canada. There are coin shows almost every weekend here in the Detroit area, but I can't remember the last time I've actually seen a Canadian dealer at any of them. There are two dealers that sell mostly Canadian coins, but they are from the states (one from here in Michigan and the other from Ohio), and I've basically bought anything they had that I needed from them already.

UPDATE:
Well I'm crossing the border again tomorrow (5/5/19) to go to another coin show in Windsor, Ontario. I still have to update my Garmin to help keep me from getting lost again.

I had a nice time the last time I visited; found quite a few items I've had trouble finding here in Michigan. One thing I'm going to look for tomorrow are the circulated Canadian coins from 2018 and 2019. There's nothing special about them but it's always been difficult to find common coins in great conditions around here.

I'm just sorry that it's a Sunday as I was hoping to check out all the Canada Post offices in the area as I've heard that sometimes one can find reduced prices on "specialty' coins/sets there.

As usual, I'm bringing a bunch of Canadian junk coins to pay for my trips at the tunnel booths.
