Hello everyone, I am new to the coin collecting and I ran across a $1 that I got a long time ago, the serial and "green stamp" that is normally on the front isn't there and it is on the back. It is not a backwards image or anything......worth anything?

Sound like an error note - but we need a picture to make identification.

The U. S. mint has been looking for that.

Why would the Mint be looking for it? They could care less as they did not print it

Even in the worst condition, this note is worth a premium. Please take care of it as every fold will further reduce it's value.

OP needs to post a scan for an estimate of value. Unless it's been really circulated, I'm guessing it's worth at least a hundred dollars. Hopefully, it's still in AU or better condition.

This note was probably subject to a fold error. When it is going through the the printers it somehow got folded. When it's folded over once the print is misplaced onto the back of the bill. Some bills go into the printers folded, and other bills, like yours, get folded between printing stages. (This is the most likely scenario, but who knows until we get a picture. Still, I'd say it's probably $100+.)
